Food supplement 120 capsules net weight: 61g
PROPERTIES Boswellia contains essential oils and terpenoids as well as boswellic acids, with anti-inflammatory properties, which block the overproduction of cytokine activity (molecules essential for the communication of our cells) in damaged tissues.
These acids also improve the friction of the joint. Boswellia will operate in multiple ways to relieve pain, acting directly on the pro-inflammatory molecules that are the direct cause of the pain.
It reduces joint swelling, morning stiffness and increases mobility by blocking the synthesis of leukotrienes (molecules involved in many inflammatory diseases), through an enzyme 5-lipoxygenase (5-LOX).
Unlike most drugs of the class of Nonsteroidal Anti-inflammatory drugs, its use even prolonged, does not cause a side effect at the digestive level, and helps to preserve the gastric mucosa of ulcers.
Rice bran: anti-caking agent to lubricate the ingredients contained in a capsule and increase the consistency of the composition
A bit of history... Boswellia serrata, from the burseraceae family, is a medium-sized tree of Indian origin. Its resin has been used traditionally in Ayurvedic and Chinese medicine for more than 4000 years, in the treatment of various so-called civilizational pathologies (diabetes, cardiovascular disorder ...) and especially against rheumatism and arthritis.
In Ayurvedic medicine, it is considered one of the most powerful medicinal plants.
According to a 1998 study, Boswellia serrata relieves asthma. Nowadays and in the West, Boswellia serrata is mainly recommended as a dietary supplement, most often in the form of an extract.
Publications: Boswellia serrata oleo-gum resin (incense) exerted antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects against several diseases, such as; asthma, rheumatoid arthritis and irritable bowel syndrome. In the present study, the influences of B. serrata resin extract on motor dysfunction and markers of oxidative stress were investigated in the intrastriatal 6-hydroxydopamine (6-OHDA) model of Parkinson's disease (PD).
